Welcome to the website of DC's official second party.
It's time to give attention to the second party in DC... The Statehood-Greens.
After squashing the third-party GOP in the 2006 & 2008 election cycles,
almost doubling them in total votes, our party is determined to win major victories.
The republicrats are not the answer...take a look around
our site to see what makes us different. Our platform clearly shows where we
stand on important issues such as healthcare, living wages, the environment,
and other community matters important to everyday people. We are not a corporate
party and thus none of our candidates or officers accept corporate bribes. We
look forward to building our peace party with you.

Public Roundtable discussing the Status and Implication of the DC House Voting Rights Act and the Gun Amendment
I will simply focus on two aspects of the Voting Rights Act and its implications to the struggle for democracy and self-determination here in the District of Columbia. The first is why the incremental strategy represented in the Voting Rights Act has been a profound disservice to our residents, the second is how best to empower our residents to win DC Statehood, the only real goal we should be struggling for.
Public Roundtable on the SENSE OF THE COUNCIL IN SUPPORT OF REDUCING POVERTY IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA RESOLUTION OF 2008
The proposed enhancements in the budget are very welcome. However, the real challenge now facing the Council is to find new sources of revenue needed to reverse the brutal budget cuts already passed for FY2009.
